The excellent scent detection class allows you to perfect what you have learned so far. The course prepares you and builds up  your self confidence during competition by improving your dog’s accuracy when indicating the hide.

 

In this class, the team ( handler and dog ) will learn to trust each other to better find and clearly indicate hidden odors, according to rules set forth by the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club)

 

Following is a list of the different levels of competition and the essential oils related to each :

 

INSTINCT AND NOVICE :  wintergreen (W) (Gaultharia procumbens)

OPEN : Wintergreen (Gaultharia procumbens) (W) and/or pine (P) (Pinus sylvvestris)

EXCELLENT : (W) (Gaultharia procubens) and/or pine (P) and/0r anis (A)(Pimpinella anisum)

MASTER: (W) Gaultharia procubens and/or pine (P) and/or anis (A) and/or clove (CL) Eugenia caryophyllata)

The Session of 7 weeksare limited to 6 participants. 

To the public this course is offered at $220 + tax and to club members or additional class for $55 + tax .
