The goal of our puppy class is to help humans understand their dogs and how to encourage them to cooperate with them in a fun and respectful manner. For puppies 2 to 4 months old. Your puppy must not be older than 4 months when this class begins. Please contact us if your puppy is older than 4 months, as an exception. This course is for people who have successfully completed the Base 1 course and wish to further consolidate their knowledge of Base 1 while fostering a desire to collaborate with their companion. The course introduces off-leash training. Exercises are gradually worked on with increased distance and distractions to perfect the learning process. A great opportunity to progress with your dog. This class is open to everyone. The goal of this course is to get the handler-dog team working together in unison. Through various attention and focus exercises, we aim to engage and maintain the dog’s attention while gradually increasing the level of distraction. This class will allow you and your dog to enjoy some quality time on your walks. The class takes place indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. You will learn: - loose-leash walking exercises - managing various distractions - using the right equipment - permissions and requests for a supervised and enjoyable walk. 2 workshops of 1 hour each: Saturday, December 6 and 13, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Would you like your dog to be a little calmer and more attentive, able to greet guests without jumping on them, wait patiently for their meal, stop barking at everything and anything, and stay calm and listen to what is asked of them, even in stimulating situations? This workshop can help you and provide tools to assist your dog in managing impulses and feelings of excitement and stress. Teaching self-control to your dog will allow them to be more thoughtful and measured in their actions. And a dog that gets less upset is a happier dog... and a more serene human! Cost: $75 + Tx
